I could not resist this porcelain tea-pot that I saw in a Vinnies store two weeks ago. I like the potting of the piece and the handle, the spout and the decoration of the nude female figure is cute. She's admiring a new piece of glass that I've put next to her on my display cupboard at the moment. The woman who sold it to me mentioned that it had been brought in by a woman whose husband hated it. One man's trash .....

I have not yet been able to find out anything about this Mystery Australian (?) Potter Ginni Jones.

That handle mounting reminds me of the teapots of Christopher Dresser for Linthorpe, the silver plated and copper/bronze ones with in the late nineteenth century. His wilting, limp-wristed aesthete as a teapot for Royal Worcester, 1881 is a classic.

Fantasy teapots these days are a phenomenon in themselves:

I know in the US there will be Big Fish, Small Pot V: Fifth international Small Teapot Show and Competition, Pomona, California.

    and

Lark Crafts: 500 Teapots, Asheville, NC, USA

In Australia there'll be in Melbourne the Studio @ Flinders Gallery 8th Annual Easter Teapot Exhibition, Flinders, VIC.

Not sure what you meant by the nude woman comment, vetraio, is there a nude woman on this pot somewhere that I missed? Like the styling of it, very Picasso-esque. :)

      Many thanks KATHERINESCOLLECTIONS !!!!!

I can't check .... It took the eye of my nephew's ex-girlfriend and I gifted it to her. Unfortunately she died about six months ago and I have no idea what happened to the pot.

Well it seems the mystery is about to come to an end :) this work is one of Virginia's early pieces. Ginni or mum as I call her has come a long way since those days. Still a ceramic artist, although her style has changed some what.
You can find her studio on Facebook, Instagram and http://www.virginiajonesstudio.com.au also the studio is working on an online shop http://www.littlevessels.com.au

Virginia's work has come along way. Virginia is still making her old style as bespoke work.
The studio is open to the public a few times during the year, all the details are on her new web page.
