I've tried several online translators and am apparently not smart enough to figure it out! Anybody know what this says?
Can someone help me with this? Any idea what the subject is or what it acutally says? | ||

Here is what I found:
I think Furtel is actually Furteld. Fürfeld is a municipality in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland-Palatinate, in western Germany.
I think Zell is Zell im Wiesental is a town in the district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated in the Black Forest, on the river Wiese, 26 km northeast of Basel, and 32 km south of Freiburg.
These towns are only 32 miles apart.
zell means "nf. city, large urban area, town, populated area that is smaller than a city."
I am having trouble with the middle word, you notice the script is different.
hope this helps some
This is a neat City View of what translates as the "Princely Residence City of Zell"
Wooowhooo, thanks so much to both of you for the info! BELLIN68, thanks for the love too!
A tile with a print of Fürstl: Residentz Statt Zell by Matthäus Merian, 1654.
Is that V B = Villeroy and Boch? I haven't found the mark yet.
A Residentz is basically a palace. There was one in Würzburg when I was stationed there. A lot of the major cities in Germany have them.
