      A very nice "portrait miniature"! It would have had glass back and front. Lock of hair in the back section? Nineteenth century, earlier.
      Look after it.
      Martha Stoddard or Stoffard?
      Google that combination of names and you may come up with some information.

      The miniature itself deserves a second look, I reckon; even though the case is not in precious metal.

      No year ???? i open it today Had a small paper in back, no hair i did not know way thies Paper was in the back I will shot this tomorrow for you
      We have no people with this name on our family .
