The top slat has a carved flower with a leaf on each side. I also have 4 diningroom chairs that match. Who is manufacturer? Is rocking chair a salesman's sample or made for a child? Were the diningroom chairs also made with arms? where can you buy add'l ones?

Too funny! I am one like it in storage. I was going to buy it at a yard sale but the lady just gave it to me. The cussion is the same. I have a rocking chair that is mahogany, round back, gargoyles at the end of the arms. I need a price range for insurance purposes. A pipe broke upstair last Jan while on vacation and it was placed in storage. The back has some splits in it. It has a cushion bottom. You can see it was recoved and was a tapestry before. Maybe we can help each other.
OMG. Sorry that I can't help with the manufacturer but had to comment since I grew up with these chairs. Rocker is probably not a sample...people really were a lot smaller back then!
the rocker is only 21 inches tall - the picture is deceiving - Robin
LOL. You are right, that IS small! I'm going with a childs rocker...
I just posted chairs that look like yours - trying to find out some information about them as well. Mine are dining room chairs though, I don't have a rocker.
Those are called 'Rose back chairs" I used to have a set:)
does anyone know the manufacturer of these chairs?
Does anyone know how much this chair would sell for? Thanks!
Just wondered because my sister liked it and took it while I was out of town!!!
