I haven't been on here in a while. Thought I would pass by and say hi to everyone as well as share some of my recent finds for some conversation and for those that enjoy these types of items.
As far as I know it is all original, but some parts of it seem to have been replaced. Is it the original paint and/or have some parts been replaced on it? Also when would it possibly be from? Any information on this item would be greatly appreciated. Possibly the name and maker as well. If not no big deal. It is about 20 inches across and 6 1/2 inches tall.
As always I thank you all so much for the help that you have provided for me on items over time. A magnet does stick to it.
Have a blessed day my friends! : )
I don't seem to get your pictures for some reason. I can see them on the main Unsolved Mystery page but not on your post. I will go to one of my other computers and try but will ask......what do you mean by a stamp that says made in the USA? Is it a sticker? Raised or cut in? I think the USA was mentioned on your other post but I can't get images of either one.
I think sometimes this happens and it clears up. If you click on the spots where it shows the pictures are blank they will come up. Thank you for mentioning this though. I will check back later to make sure everything is okay. The USA is stamped in the metal on the other two I listed on here. Not able to find any writing on this one.
Thanks for the love walksoftly! It is greatly appreciated.
If anyone knows what do numbers mean on this types of items? On the three I posted some have a number stamped into a part of the metal on the item. Like a 7 for example.
Is the number stamped on the bottom? If so then it might be a mold number. I mentioned mold numbers on one of your other posts. I know where there some items similar to yours and will try to get there on the weekend. The guy selling the stuff is older than me and maybe I can pick his mind. I am older than dirt but he is older. He has a real thing for such stuff and can give you an education but in his own language. It is English but he isn't educated so you have to gently prod him with questions. Forget asking him to spell anything.
Thanks for the love again BELL!! : )
fhrjr2 I would appreciate you sharing what you find out from the guy with me. Thank you. I appreciate the additional post as well. On this one I am not able to find any sort of mold number or writing whatsoever.
Thanks for stopping by and the love cindyjune! Have a great upcoming weekend! : )
Thanks kerry for showing some love! Have a great night! : )
This was before my time here. Your Hose reel is a reproduction of an early Dent toy. I'm not sure of the date but I would guess in the 60-70's.
