Hello,
This is a handsome piece. The cross is about 2 1/8 inches long and has a wonderful Eastlake-like inspired design. It appears to be pretty old, with hand engraved initials on the backside in an elegant script. It doesn't have a maker's hallmark, or any indication of it's metal content.
I've had it for about a year, it's been sitting on the mantel for much of that time, leaving it's silhouette in the dust.
I was hoping that someone might be able to date it for me, or recognize the style, possibly even the maker.
Thanks,..............T
It does look Victorian in style, 1880 or so. It also looks gold plated in the photo.
agree with davy -- also see some rose gold on the ends -- pretty pendant -- engraving also point to that era
