    This pocket watch belonged to a family gentlmen from Minnesota. He was born around 1880. Not sure what year this was made and not sure why there is an extra piece with the design except the last name intial is on the smaller piece (F). Serial number 238767. It is really beautiful and charished.

      Looks like it started out as a full hunter case, then altered to a be a demi or half hunter. Interesting!

      I would like to posit that this is a pocket watch that was converted for wrist wear by carefully cutting the center out of the front of the case (which piece was kept for whatever reason) and soldering a loop for a bracelet to attach to opposite the bow.
