The first shot in the center looks like old gold really beautiful cant find any words on these gold ones ? The 3 to the left would these be for men ? the metal ones?
On the left file in the middle the 2 gold ones which are the same are Gold 12k, What are the tiny red stones?
Beautiful hat pin collection!! The eagle motif could possibly Hungarian or German.
Luisa , the eagle gold color pin is made from a Civil war button from here in the USA 1860s, i have posted buttons just like this one here.
Hatpins werent used by men, but ladies certainly had hatpins made out of uniform buttons in honor of their husbands or other important men in their lives.
The tiny bows could be gold, rolled gold or gilded (need to have them checked for gold content). Garnets were popular stones in hatpins but we see rubies on occasion as well. If the metal isn't gold though then it is more likely that the stones would be cut glass. Fun collection! Thanks for sharing.
these were from my wife's family 1860 -1915
