This Navy buckle was given to me several years ago by a retired Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was on the USS Van Voorhis DE 1028 a Destoryer Escort that was built in 1955 and sold for scrap in 1973.
Kevin, I have heard that Navy ships have about a twenty year life?
