This jug, called 125 cl. was designed by Koskinen to commemorate Iittala's 125 anniversary.

It's a great design, stunning in its amazing simplicity and a great red colour. there's really no much to say about it.

How do you make them bright from the interior? And how do you find all this in Spain (you are in Sapin, are n't you)?

Well, there is a light behind the paper that acts as a background, this way there's some light you can see across the glass. The effect is nice in coloured glass, but prety much necessary if you're taking pictures of clear glass. I wish I had room in my place to builda proper "set" to take these pictures...

It's hard to find glass design in Spain. Most of it comes from Germany, Finland, Denmark, Sweden...

Ok, I understand. I suppose you could spend hundreds of euros for equipment. I use a very simple camera, a strong paper as background, natural light - or my kitchen lights!

Not at all... my "set" is one of the trashiest things I have ever seen!!! I use a couple of old lamps I got when I was an Art student, a roll of white paper hung from the top of a wall and laid over the dining table, then there's a small lamp I removed from its original place to put behind the white paper... My living-room looks awful, almost like a battlefield, when I am taking the pictures... and the "set" has been on for the last month and a half... but yes, it would be great having a proper set, but nothing really sophisticated :)

It's a very good a idea to have light behind the paper. I am afraid my Kitchen is too small for that!

Well, they sometimes maketoocommercial stuff but, from time to time, they make something absolutelybrilliant, just like this one. Have you seen Annu Penttinen's "Socks Rolled Down" drinking set??? I love it

Yeah, I know the set, it's nice but it's a bit too organic for my taste.

haha :) well, I have always been the one looking for the most simple designs but there's some air of "joke" about that set I like :)

Thanks vlkma! What can we expect from Koskinen? LOL I's a great bold design. I love the strength of the form and at the same time the hand written "125" on it... such a symbol of what it intended to be, one of the commemorative pieces for Iittala's 125th anniversary.
