This doll is a complete mystery. Her hair is messy and I'm not sure if this is her original outfit,(if not, it must have been hard to put on), there are no marks to identify her, unless it is under the clothes where I can't see. She has real upper eyelashes, painted lower ones, and I'm not sure what she is made of. I never saw this doll till I opened the estate boxes, so I have no clues!! I hope someone out there recognizes this little girl. Thank you, Michelle Amieux
Michelle is she 14 inches tall ? Also her dress is newer than her . Her eyes are clouded but that can be fixed . She maybe marked on her mid back . She looks a lot like a Mary Hoyer doll but they are always marked on back and I have never seen one that have eyes cloud up . Yours has to have different eyes that cystalize . Look at her mid back ok. And tell me her height .
Love her ! I will email you what to do for her eyes if they are as cloudy as the look . She is a composition doll . From 40's
Looks like Mani's dolls aren't the only ones that are exhibitionists ! Very cool michelle !!
Posting a Mary Hoyer Doll for you to see in Composition ,They also did them in hard Plastic . If your doll is 11 inches she is a world doll Co . doll

Mani, you are very good... , she is eleven inches tall. My computer crashed as I was writing that there were a couple of photos that I thought were well taken to show hands and feet, the dollies in yoga like positions, but they ended up looking a bit disturbing!!! So I deleted them!!! I'm going to post this quickly, as it's time to make dinner, I am so excited to find out about her. I seem to remember my Mom saying that she had bought the outfit for her. I don't see any writing on her back. It is hard to figure out what she is made of. I love her rosy little knees. Thanks again, can't wait to get back and research all the new stuff I've learned here. It is VERY FUN!! Thank you all, I rack up laughing with some of the posts. A site with a sense of humor!! Talk to you later, Mich
Morning, Manikin, as I said, 11". You and vetraio are both leopards!! Hedge, van and Kerry, you are one doll away from being Doll enthusiast's!! Just wait till you see the gams on the my Mom's beautiful Carmen Miranda doll, she's hot stuff!! That will be my last doll post for a while, the"Coup de Grace" that will bring you fence sitters tumbling into Dollyland. Mani, I'm going to look up the world doll co. I thought she was older because she is in the worst shape, and I can't figure out WHAT she's made of. The wear on her face and wig make her look so much older than the other dolls, but let's face it, most never left the box.
She is made of compostion also . They did some in better quality and some of it was ravenged by time . Heat and moisture are their worst enemies . She is same age just not same quality and not real sought after in her size . I would just cherish her for who she is :-) How wonderful you still have them !
Michelle I am sending you a email to tell you how to clear her eyes and the others also :-) So watch for it ok .
Is there a doll Doctor in the house?!!! Yes, and she is wonderful!! Mani, you are a great person, I appreciate your taking the time. I got a little side tracked this morning and stayed off CW for a few hours, so the Carmen pics are still not up...but let's face it, one month ago, or less, I had never taken a photo with my phone or put one on a computer. So this ole gal is chugging along pretty well in the "New Technologies Dept." Thank You again, Mich
Mani, I forgot to tell you, I see what you mean about age, because her body looks good, but her head is very worn. I think somebody learned to wash hair with this little dolly!! Plus, the wear to the glue on the wig on one side implies that this Dolly might have done a little synchronized swimming!! That would make perfect sense as it was the Esther Williams era, and Synchronized Swimming was a must for the Go(o)d Girls of Mayfield Catholic School for Girls, and my Mom did it for years!! I wish I had film, that would be precious. Have fun, mich
