This was a gift to Rear Admiral Lucien Young who served in the navy from 1873-1912. He was commended the year he graduated from the US Navel Acadamy for saving the life of a fellow shipmate who had fallen overboard. He served his country during the Spanish-American War. His coplete history can be viewed at http://www.histoy.navy.mil/photos/per-us/uspers-xz/l-young.htm , the piece is 10 7/8 inches high, 10 in wide, it holds 5 pints and has the number 1358 stamped on the inside of the bottom. It was presented to him on Oct. 5 1911 by Chas. B. & Geo. H. Hervey in Pennsicola,Fl. It's in good condition except for two very small dings and the fact that it is tarnished. I would like to know if it's collectable/valuable?
