Help! I found this fabulous heavy, three footed brass bowl at an antique shop recently and although I know nothing about Asian items, I just liked the look and feel. I would love to know more about it. How old is it? Where is it from. What do the marks on the bottom mean? What was it intended to be used for? What is the approximate value? It weighs in at 3 lbs 1 oz, is 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall. Thanks! ANY information or opinions would be much appreciated.

I have something similar, I think it might be related to Temple Ceremonies. I have seen some pictures that show vessels like this filled with sand and people placing incense sticks in the sand.

well i am not an magician, the mark is small, and upside down lets say the double AA must right under

I hope it is not a da ming xuande nian zhi mark, but it probably is, it is machine made incense burner and it is brass probably

i hate to say it , but IMO you only get the scrap price
