Here are some of my European pieces, from left:
-SWEDISH EDA NANNA BOAT SHAPED BOWL, BLUE 28 CM.
-FINNISH RIIHIMAKI VASE, BLUE 20 CM.
-FINNISH RIIHIMAKI TENNESSE STAR VASE, BLUE.
-SWEDISH EDA HAMBURG BOAT SHAPED BOWL, BLUE 33 CM.

Hello. I would be interested in the date of these items. Does English Carnival glass date from the 1930's?
Theese EDA items were made somewehere between 1925 - 1930. I am not shore when English carnival were made.
The luster ware (Carnival Glass) production in the USA began in 1907 and continued on until the early 1930's, even though interest had waned considerably during the 1920's. However, European and English lustre ware apparently only really began heavy production during the 1920's and 1930's, and continued on in many areas until interrupted by World War II.
You have some pretty pieces!
Actually, Carnival Glass was made in Europe much earlier than many people realise. We have evidence that Brockwitz in Germany was producing Carnival in 1915 - and possibly even earlier.
English Carnival was made by Sowerby in the 1920s, but possibly items were also made a little earlier. It's a fascinating subject to research.
By the way, a bit of information on your Eda and Riihimaki items. The vase is called KAARO (that is the original Finnish name for the vase pattern - I have the original catalog in which it was shown). I have blue and amber examples.
You may like to know why the bulbous vase from Finland was given the name Tennessee Star? A friend of mine found the first documented example among USA/UK collectors, and yes, (you guessed it) he lives in Tennessee. It was, of course, made in Finland by Riihimaki. Tennessee Star is one of my favourite Riihimaki vase designs.
I have a bowl similar to the ones; right and left that you have that were my grandmothers'. Do you know what the value on these would be?
