Would like to know how much this is worth. It is supposedly one of the first versions made.

Sorry to take so long getting back to you. I am waiting on a response from a source regarding the value. It is hard to pin point the exact date, since some of the records of the manufacturer were destroyed in a fire in 1971. The best guess is some time in the 1950's. It is listed on http://www.TexansIncorporated.com under Catalog Pages. It is on page 4 - 4th picture on the left side. I will get back to you on the value.

In the book "TV Lamps to Light the World" published in 2006 on page 160 your lamp is shown with a value $125. to $135.

      Neat lamp.

Current values in almost all collecting arenas are much lower than they were in 2006, so I would expect current value to be significantly less.

Additionally, condition is key. Any scratches or chips (several on the fins) will also significantly effect the value.

re: scottvez remark of 9 years ago - - he's correct, speaking of TV Lamps as a whole. But I've never seen one of the Kron swordfish pieces selling below $200 and it remains a "holy grail" piece for many collectors (sport fishermen, TV lamp collectors, TIKI people, etc.). Since there were not a ton of those made since this piece is altogether unmarked, is is always super-hard to locate.
