This was purchased along with another larger pot (also uploaded for show and tell a few months ago). This one is smaller.
The markings under the lid read, "G. Le Creuset. France."
The markings on the bottom of the pot read, "G. Le Creuset."
I would appreciate any information. Thanks!
Buy a good chicken. Unpack and pat dry. Inside carcass put 12 bay leaves, yes 12!!!
Tie up legs with twine. Put two bay leaves between leg and breast on each side, another leaf between wings and body. Put chicken into pot with some olive oil to stop it sticking to pot. Preheat oven to hot (425*) and put chicken in oven with no lid. After 15 minutes reduce heat to (350*) and cook for 90 minutes in total.
Don't cover. Don't move it. Then take out and rest for twenty minutes on a serving plate. Carve and enjoy.
It's an ancient Roman recipe that Lorenza de Medici did years ago on Tv and it works. Best chicken ecer. I promise. But it means 18 bay leaves in total.
That pot may need a good clean with Gumption. It's on its way out....the enamel is thinning.
BHock50, these are great cooking vessels! Enjoy!
Vetraio50, your above posting is priceless. Never heard of Gumption, but I'll try it.
So sorry! BHock45, not '50'.
