This design is one of those Loetz took to the Werkbund exhibition in Köln in 1914, and it has the typical blue on white decoration by Michael Powolny.

Thanks Bellin! Yes, I'm lucky about it but... we need a huge house now! :)
Lovely Austro. I have to ask...Does it bug you when the stripes aren't lined up?
haha! we should ask to the owner :) Now that i come to think of it, he put the item just like this, i didn't fix it up to have the lines lined up, so i guess it would bug him :)
Hee Hee! I can't stand a tilted painting or picture myself.
I hate to say it but it would drive me crazy to have the stripes mis-aligned.
It would be like tuning a violin or setting a dial, or connecting wires,.....the right sound, the right everything when the stripes lined up:) In the case of this beautiful piece, it would be like tuning in to something heavenly.
I need to borrow your hubbie for a year or so...lol just kidding :)
I hope you're just joking LOL :)
lol , I am :) hehehe :)
:) besides, his English is pretty limited... yours would not to be a very communicative relationship ;)
