Here are a few Kralik Vases from 1930's that show the webbed design. the most common shapes are "ball" and "jeanie bottle" or "Pumpkin"...with the most seen colors being orange with black and green with black.
Maybe they were made by other makers too since the decor seems easy to replicate. The clear bases are more rare and there seems to be no distinct application style; sometimes a near-perfect web is made and sometimes the pattern meanders all over the place. There were mostly made with a ground top but sometimes (like the urn shape) they have a pontil mark.
They seem to have similarities to the marbled pattern which i will show in the future. Enjoy... and let me know if you have any other odd colors in this decor.
Particularly like the silver knob and feet that seems quite unusual.
yes, thanx oz. I have only seen onother in the orange and black colors
I really love the blue one. Very beautiful!
I just love those faces especially the orange and green and blue and clear text they're all beautiful. These have to be expensive, what do these go for?
no, they can be cheap too. here are some ideas for collecting:
1- buy one with a little chip
2- bid on ebay when they are photographed badly
3- search European ebay with translated words
5- buy smaller sizes
6- look under wrongly attributed titles like- Murano, 60's etc...
thank you jerico
