handed down thru my former husband's family belonged to his grandmother who lived in New Jersey. I believe it to be Krementz but unsure of the materials of the flowers. The back of the piece is as shiny as new gold . I believe it to be 14k overlay, and perhaps the flowers are ivory. I would be glad if anyone who has information to add to this would "chime" in and fill me in on this.

These roses look exactly like an ivory necklace of my grandmother's. Her brother was a soldier in the army during WWII and brought it back from Germany (probably from the same area where the nice cuckoo clocks come from, since he also brought that back too).

The AB rhinestones lead me to believe the flowers are not Ivory & probably not made by Krementz. Is it signed Krementz? Perhaps the original rhinestones were replaced? I think the flowers are likely Lucite or similar to it. Reminds me of some Coro pieces I have seen.

Let's hope they are lucite - I wish my inherited piece was too. I cherish it because it was my grandmother's, but I never forget for a moment that a beautiful animal gave its life for a trinket.

perhaps the elephant died a natural death and not just for its tusks. Think happy thoughts.

Now, I never thought of that as a possibility. Thank you!
