Some time in the recent past, an important art glass historian came home to find he had suffered this incredible loss. It had taken him a lifetime of collecting to assemble this assortment of Astro/Bohemian Art Nouveau art glass. A negligent contractor working in his building caused this irreplaceable damage. Luckily this was a small portion of his vast, varied and historic collection. He shared these pieces with some of us that he calls colleagues and friends. Thank you Alfredo.
Tony, Very nice tribute to Al and his collection!
I foresee a wonderful tabletop mosaic with those pieces!
cogito, I'm getting ready to do a new counter top and had the same thought !
Oh no! These are so pretty yet so sad at the same time. I am so sorry Alfredo.
Wouldn't it be neat to melt these together and blow a big, fabulous vase? Honestly, you could work out a deal with the Corning Museum or something. If I had these shards, I would send photos to them and see if they wanted to do something together. That way it wouldn't have to go to waste! What do you think? I could send these photos for you
Beautiful, even in shatters.
Some how this really works.
I would also frame and hang a large photo of this.. one of a kind and magnificent!
It Beguiles the looker and beckons you into it!!! Compelling! I love it...
