I saw someone post this cooler on here like 4 months ago. It is the only other I have ever seen, other than one beat up one on Ebay right now where the decal has been destroyed and they want $155.00 This cooler was in the attic when my husband was around 4 years old, 1958 or so. Don't know what happened to the other 2 pictures, but it has a metal handle and the other side also has the decal, but our's has a few more defects on that side. There are no manufacturer marks. A person here thought this was worth only $50 to $75.00 Since it is so much more rare than the vintage Coca-Cola with raised letters, why would this be worth less than those, some really beat up. This is 12 x 8" and 12" high. I know it's smaller than the others, but shaped nicely. The other two I have seen now, both also have lids that appear to not really fit well.
So you're here to register your complaint? What is your point exactly?
Just wondering if anyone else might know more. Does anyone know what some have sold for on auctions? Do you collectors like the classic ones better? I have a friend on FB asking for her brother. I want as much as I can get without ripping them off.
Not really much of a coke cooler if it doesnt even say coca cola. But still a pretty cool cooler. Nice one you got there :)
Actually Spriteboy, it's a pretty nice cooler. It's one of the first picnic coolers Coca-Cola offered, before all the "Action" coolers came out. But, sadly, it is worth $50 -$75, $100 if that. It's not one of the most desirable coolers out there, but it is one of the earlier ones. The one the guy is selling on ebay is obviously fishing for a sucker or is just ignorant of the price.
I'm surprised to hear this is original coca cola cooler, it really looks like someone just took a red cooler and slapped a coca-cola decal on the side. Maybe this is why the cooler does not sell to high, not many collectors are even sure its original.
Remember prices are based on how bad someone wants it, rarity is also a factor, but not as important. An example would be a canadian items compared to US items. Even tho Canadian coke items are more rare than US coke items, US items are worth more because they are more desirable.
Ray you sure its that old (1930's?) bottle in picture looks newer like a 1940's bottle. Hard to see it in picture but i would have thought if this was an 1930s cooler it would have the 1923 dec 25 bottle, maybe it does i can barely make it out.
Okay sorry :)
