I recently found this vase by Loetz in an unusual color combination - a chartreuse/olive color swirled with red and covered in a very light iridescence. Marked with the acid-stamped word CZECHO-SLOVAKIA in an oval that is typical of Loetz production from the 1920s onward. I'm not sure what to call this decor, but I've also seen this type of mottling in red glass with the same mark, and I'm sure there are other colors. I'm calling it "new wave" art nouveau, which I didn't make up; Loetz.com has a section of pieces from the 1920s that are updates of earlier popular Loetz decors, such as Diaspora and Papillon; if this is an update of any early Loetz decor, I would probably call it "new wave marmoriertes", unless someone has a better idea? :)

Photo 3 well enlarged – there seem to be no scratches due to age as far as I can see. There must be some on glass moved around for almost 100 years. Not implying anything, but I always search for them.

It must be the lighting, Ivan... If you look at the bottom of the vase straight on there is clearly a ring of wear around the bottom. This is not a new piece.
