I've had this beautiful bracelet on the mantel for years.
It was nearly black with tarnish when I purchased it
I love the design, and the color of the amethyst accents
it's signed, but I've never been able to make it out
Hopefully someone on here can tell me more about it.
I hope all are well, sorry I've been away for a bit,
Happy Palm Sunday,
Tonino
Thank You, Bellin. I feel better just hearing from you:)
happy Palm Sunday to you!

Hi Budek!
Ben tornato!
Nice bracelet.
Oh those Mexican mystery pieces!

It’s an eagle mark with the number 3 within.
This site gives some information about that mark:
http://www.modernsilver.com/mexicaneaglemarks.html
There's a list there that includes 22 possibilities:
RHC or RHG, R. Chavarrieta, Piedra y Plata, Hector Aguilar, Antonia, Ledesma, Sigi, Bernice Goodspeed, Marciela (Ysidro Garcia), VJC for Victor Jaimez, MRV, JN Jacobo, Delfino, Generic mark for Taxco, Abriaca, JLF, JS, BR, SD or SC, ORVELO, NESTOR & Generic mark for Guadalajara
You are probably the best one to have a good look at the marks and see if any of these fit. But note that the 3 is still seen as a generic mark for Taxco and Guadalajara.
But the list will also give you names to search for other documented pieces that might give you an attribution based on style.
The hunt can begin!
Let the hunt begin!
Gracias amigo!
I just came in from working in the garden.
It got dark while I was out there, and began to rain. I had to tuck a couple of things into the ground that had come loose with all the pulling, clipping, and raking.
I love those mild Spring evenings when everything's coming into bud and bloom.
The sounds, the smells,.....it's all new, again and again, year after year. I almost expect to come across myself, as a child, sitting in the driveway, playing in the puddles as the birthday guests arrive ,( May 4 ). I can still smell the coffee, and the green of the lilac opposite our door, under the neighbors kitchen window.
I hear that the rain has picked up, good that the rocks that I had raked soil over will be washed clean.
have a great night.
Thanks to all for all the much appreciated love,
T
Ooo... Absolutely beautiful! #3 is Taxco. It looks like a Sigi or Antonia Pineda doesn't it? I bet its someone good. It would be worth it to scan through hallmakrs until you find it, that would increase the value significantly
Stillwater, Thank You for the kind comment, I'm encouraged.
I'll let you know if I come up with anything.
Have a great week-end,
and Thanks again, Tony.
Hems, Thanks for the kind comment.
I guess they would be considered cabochons,...but I'm not positive.
it's a beautiful piece that has been sitting on the fireplace mantel for about 2 years
Vetraio was kind enought to send me some excellent leads, one of these days I'll have the stamina to pinpoint the maker.
You've got wonderful pens, and other fine things, I'll be stopping by your listings.
have a good evening,
Tony.
Yup those are cabochons alright
There were a lot of silversmiths in Taxco in the 1940's when this was made, its pretty darn difficult to pin down a maker even IF you can read the signature, so I wish you lots of luck!
Beautiful necklace and yes, gardening!
I mean, bracelet. And GARDENING!
Dear Carmen is a Cat, Thank You for the love and kind comments,
Best wishes to you,
Tony.
