Named for the little red dog who peed on the painter's art while leaning on a car, the little red dog is in all the paintings!! Love that guy, he was so very wise and funny!! Mich

Thank you hedge and Mani, Mani you are so funny!! I was definitely showing my OCD personality type when I started commissioning Bill's work.I ordered as many as I could afford, as the years passed, and then moved to California to take care of my Mom, who had been diagnosed with Cancer. I was flat broke, or I would have continued to commission these , by that time, this 90 years old's reflections on Louisiana life had become, yes, an obsession. The, I believe, four I gave away were to the most wonderful people in the world, one my landlord, a Doctor, and ourhouse`was where his father the Doctor and mothwer the midwife ran the Maternity clinic, from the 1910's to 40's. One of the primitives was the materniy Clinic with the family pushing the pregnant Mom into the Doctors, like the Dentist picture. I just had to give that one primitive to my landlord the Doctor who helped us so much in the last years of my Mom's life. It is those kinds of people that I gave these away to, it was VERY HARD, but I sure do love you Mani!! You definitely qualify as one of those wonderful people. I will leave this collection in my will to you! Word!! Thank you again, Mich

WillyR what a small world it is. I had the largest collection of his art ever by anybody!! I commissioned many vignettes, wish I had even more. I loved your dad and the whole Red Dog Series!! My e-mail is michelleamieux@yahoo.com. How did you find this page? Must have surprised you!! I am going to google him now and see if there are any other paintings of his out there!! Very nice to meet you, Michelle
