Hello every one , I would like to share my lamp with the world to see.
I remember this lamp when I was a young boy, always playing with the little door , with the butterfly catch.
In the early days I remember the top roof having several oriental style cod / goldfish on it not too sure all I know it was fish.
This lamp is a 3 piece which I believe is all brass. the base has stunning creatures on it from tortioses to a very elegant dragon running around the centre of it.
Originally there was no cord in it for a globe it was not until around 2 years ago I found a small tear /pearl globe , in which when this lamp is all together it real stunning to see lit up.
My lamp is roughly 3 kg in weight.
I can remember my father bringing this lamp back with us from england in 1973.
Im not too sure if my grandfather gave it to him.
But I do know I have the care and safety of it now .
Can any one out in this glorious world of ours help me in order to find the true origin of this wonderful item . thankyou
