I am putting on my shoes right now ! Should I bring my 8 tracks too :-) Gee those were awful in middle of a song it tape would turn so you had a pause and we thought they were so great lol we have come along way but I saw you can't beat the sound of vinyl on the ole turntable . Love it
I should have a Disco party maybe some one could invite John Travolta.
Thanks everyone for the great comments. I thought you all would get a kick out of this.
Great Memories with this post. Thanks for sharing and welcome to CW.
Now all you need is a disco ball that you can hang from the ceiling... :-)
Opps... I should closer.... it DOES have the disco ball... sorry!
These are so cool , I'm glad you saved it .
OMG, I have this same exact stereo. My parents bouht it for me as an early graduation gift, fall 1976, at KMart. I need to replace the 2 small black buttons on top though, that control the lights and ball. Did you have to locate those? It's an awesome stereo, great sound too
Hi Frankie59 no I did not have to replace the 2 buttons. The 2 buttons are a rocking type switch if you go to radio shack they might be able to help you. This one was in pretty bad shape I took the turntable completly apart and cleaned it plus new grease. The cabinet had water damage and I sanded it and covered it with Belbien which is an industrial grade of contact paper but much tougher and way nicer then you buy at the store. I also pulled all the guts out and fixed everthing including making a new bottom out of oak putting wheels under it and trimming the bottom out with stainlees steel. I also made a new grill for the speakers out of 3/4 in. x3/4 in board and covered it with a Mardi Graus printed material. Watch the video of this one on youtube http://youtu.be/VcOdE5BIN8Q
