This is an older sewing machine that has been in the family. I have no idea if it is worth anything or not. Can someone tell me if it has any value or not?
    Thanks,

Try ebay, most people on this site share items and histories behind them. It is not set up as a price guide, although every other person that post for the 1st time has that impression. It is also not American Pickers

Chill a bit. I wasn't trying to sell it here. I was just asking if it had any real worth.

As stated above, values are tricky when looking at photos... dont worry. I'm chillin ! Welcome to Collectors Weekly ! ( Really, no sarcasm ) TG

This machine is a 201 and looks to be a centennial badged machine, made in 1951 for the 100th anniversary of Singer. Not rare or valuable. Thrift Gypsy is right, there are a lot of people posting lately with intention of selling or a machine for sale - it's not fair to take advantage of others' freely sharing their knowledge, to try to get a better a sale. Not many electric machines are rare or valuable, none that I can think of would require itemised insurance value!

The centennial badge does make it more interesting :)

The serial # is EE921700 which Singer says was made in 1949. I know that is wrong because of the centennial plate (1951).

That serial number is actually from a batch of 50,000 commissioned Dec 28 1948 - remember it's a commission date, not a build date - and being the anniversary year coming up they would have been making machines flat out to get their stocks up for the special event, your machine was still in the factory at the end of 1950 - possibly all badged up packed and ready to go and been sitting there a while. There were 250,000 201 machines made in the EE series which finishes in Feb 1949, they only made 145,000 in the EF series from March '49 to May '50. There were another 150,000 made in the EG series ending Dec 51.
