The note in the first image is from the first series issued in 1870, the note in the second image is from 1900, & the third note is from the last series in 1923. The shinplaster was very popular with the public & remained in circulation until 1935.
No idea where to put this as there is no category for foreign currency.
Very nice walksoft ! can you still spend it ? I have some foreign money also mostly from germany WWII but one with Queen Elizabeth on it and have no idea how old it is . If my Mom got it when she went to Canada or it was my Step dads I will post you can tell me ok . We are in Tornado watch right now so I will try and post then delete ok :-)
They are no longer in circulation & are worth more than 25 cents.
It was snowing here earlier, no worries of tornadoes, keep your head down.
snow oh mmy walksoft . I guess I would rather snow than tornado's . My son and daughter in law live in Alaska and they have had record snowfall and it is still deep . Burrr
Did you look at my money ?
Mani that one pound note is British currency not Canadian, was any family in Britain?
Nope nobody I know of Walksoft . Gee I wonder how I got it now . It was mixed in with all the other currency . The only family I have outside US is in Canada , I saw you answered it and then removed photo as it is really not collectible But looks nice :-) Thank you so much Walksoft !!
