Greetings All
I bought these mid century boomerang lounges a few weeks back (in Germany) and have been restoring them in my free time. Basically finished and now must choose some fitting fabrics....easier said than done (i'm seeing fabric patterns when i close my eyes). The wood looks like cherry to me but i'm no expert. I've used a natural oil on them. Unfortunately any indication of producer has been taken off the chairs...anyone have an idea of origin or design?...Much appreciated.
Antique deck chairs?
They are awesome! I hope you post some photos when you finish, I can't wait to see what you use for the cushions.
very nice job!! looks great.
Really nice looking chairs. You are doing a nice job on bringing them back to life.
Thanks everyone. I'm still obsessing over some Designers Guild fabric but haven't made up my mind....fear of finality is getting me down.
@PhilDavidAlexanderMorris : They do look similar (arm style) but the base seat of my chairs are 2 seperate components whereas in the Jensen chairs i've seen, the legs are part of the arms.
Nice chairs!....:-)
Where did you find the seat springs? I've looked...my 2 Scandinavian Design chairs are very similar! Found vintage nubby fabrics, too...if you need website, I'll look it up, as it was very inexpensive.
Update....upholstery complete (Designers Guild).
These look like TopForm of Holland to me. Might be worth checking out.
Beautiful work, by the way!
Wow! I think you did a spectacular job! I love them!
What a good job you did! and I love your choice of upholstery especially like the striped one!....:-)
