We think this is either from Tibet or Vietnam. There is no artist marking anywhere. This wood sculpture is 5' high and around 6' across.
Can someone please help identify this beautiful piece of art we havent a clue of it's origin or value.

China is more likely to have any items dealing with dragons, although Japan has a few stories in their mythology as well. Believe it or not, you could probably walk into an Asian restaurant or market and have it identified, especially if it is owned by and older person. Other than that I have no other advice for you, but it is a very beautiful piece. Good Luck!

      HI Kerry

This is definitely Japanese but made for the Chinese market. The skill and craftsmanship of the Japanese is without equal. The statue is of an imperial Dragon chasing the flaming pear of wisdom and what a magnificent piece it is too
