    Hello,
I found this today. It appears to be vintage mid century, with a wonderful scratched/carved decoration.
The bottom and interior are shiny black, the decorated sides are also glazed. It has wonderful stout feet and a curious angular shape.
There's a mark on the bottom beneath the black glaze, only a hint of it can be seen, ( it looks like a Japanese Crest design ).
It measures approximatley 10 inches long, 5 1/4 inches wide.
    Look familiar?
Thanks for looking, and for any information you may have to share.
    Tony.

      Vet,
It is an Ikebana pot,.....why didn't that occur to me?
Having that revealed to me I discovered that the mark is for the Yamasan company.
