I'm guessing these are used for weaving however I'm not seeing how it all goes together. The wood is beautiful, lightweight and has a pretty grain to it. The pieces tangled in thread and wire, I don't have a clue what they are for. I am most interested in dating the pieces. Thanks for looking.

      Hi,

I know this was posted a long time ago- but no-one else has answered so...I think these are all tools for netting- making net of fairly large mesh/holes given the size of the shuttles and meshes(sticks). The hooped thing was the thing that held the first loops of the net- is it weighted?

      No idea about age,

Hi jfdiow! Thanks for your reply. You are right about the weaving aspect. This piece is not weighted but I have since discovered that there is a piece missing which guided the whole operation. I love these tools, they are worn smooth by years of use.
