This is the best quality trunk I have come across at a garage sale. Made by Barnum in Minneapolis around 1906. I like the owner's name being hand lettered on the top. Great materials, construction and design.
Not all wardrobe trunks are created equal. This one has a fantastic look to it. The swing outs are great to. I would be happy to have one like this in my collection. Thanks for the post!
Hi trunkman,
I knew this would catch your eye.
I used to keep old military uniforms in it but I seriously needed to downsize some, so I had to let it go.
You must have a warehouse.
Thanks mrmajestic1 & trunkman

Great link toolate2,
That would be a handy desk, and only $4500.00.

Garage sale! I remember many garage sales in Minneapolis when we lived there.... do they still do them on Thursdays and Fridays?
Wonderful find! I'm so jealous!
Yes Stef, Th, Fri & Sat till noon was traditional but a lot are starting on Wed now. I much prefer the shorter time frame so if I don't get out on Wed I don't feel like I'm missing the boat. And another thing, most start at 8AM but some don't start till 9AM or later! ...oooh don't get me started. :)
Maybe I need a picker's vacation to Minnesota soon... I found lots of my treasures at those marvelous garage sales!
SHHhhhhh, don't tell the world.
