Another of my garage box finds.....these are all old caligraphy pens. I have two boxes, one says Parker the other says Sheaffers. The Parker box is cardboard and the Sheaffers is like a glasses case. Honestly, I don't know if the pens are either of these brands or not because they have different writing on them. Mfavorite is the moss green abalone shell looking one, but it has no writing on it anywhere, and I'm pretty sure it's a plastic case. The one pictured in front of the Parker box appears to be a pretty plastic, but has the word Eagle on the metal clip. The plain green one says Arnold on the clip. The brown and gold pen does say W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co. Fort Madison, IA and has what looks like S or F Kaleta in cursive on the clip. The final pen, which is the lighest green with brown swirls (bottom in the pic with the 4 pens) has Traveler on the clip.
Are these junk? Vintage? I know nothing about caligraphy or pens, so I have no clue, lol. Any insight is greatly appreciated!
Actually, the one that says Sheaffer on the pen itself is the one closest to the box in the third picture. I'm not sure what you mean by engraved though. There is no personalization on it. Or is that what the Kaleta is? I just assumed that was a style of the pen. Sorry, I just don't know anything on pens ;-)
So, on the Sheaffer pen, what kind of value are we looking at? Anyone know?
My bad, I misread your earlier comment. I have no idea what a nib is, lol. Guess I'll have to take it to someone to look at.
