    Steamer boat named Beverly from Boston Fruit company imported bananas from Jamaica, closed in 1899. both pictures were saved my my wife's GGreat grandfather who worked in Boston, lived in Beverly Ma as you see the steamer was named Beverly. This company was the first to get fresh Bananas from Jamaica

      The wagon with the banana's in on the street behind the shore, It is still bricks today. This is in Boston harbor, the Chart House restaurant was in this cute building for many years. Don't know if its still there great food!!

      Just read about this again, This was Long wharf owned by the Boston Fruit Company. When the ship would arrive the banana's were taken off very fast. And these horse wagons were used to get the trains to deliver around New England.I read that the drivers were crazy of these wagons, and this guy was in charge of the traffic to get off the wharf asap

      That's called the Custom house very historic building behind the wagons.
