I was fortunate to be able to copy pictures from the Harold Van Gorder collection. This is the old Knight's opera house in Santa Cruz CA. Look close at the poster and see who it is.

It seems that in 1890s that every town had a Opera House, the town I live in,East Tawas Michigan, had one but never had a oprea sang in it.In Burt Michigan the Burt Oprea House was built in 1880s and just recently refurbished.Still in use today for meetings and etc. Some where in my collection I have a picture of the inside of the East Tawas Opera House when they were doing the play "Trial By Jury" probably 1915 era.

I am interested in seeing the East Tawas Opera House as I just found a news article aboutManager Dease that ran it in 1907. I believe he may be a relative. There were two little news items about his acts.
