My buddy Fred and I enlarged a french bed to king size. We copied the leg edge of the footboard, and added it to the headboard. The footboard was split, and a panel with new and old carvings was added. The rails were split and a section added also. Fred did the carving, and I did the woodwork.

      Incredible skill.
Can you help me enjoy it more... When I click a picture to enlarge it it does not enlarge because it is only 43.8 KB. By comparison, in your entry "Mystry Plane" the image is 372 KB and enlarges nicely. Could you please reload this entry with larger KB pictures? (Note, I have learned that my phone camera always makes two copies of each pic, a high KB and a low KB. I have no idea why.) Thanks. I am looking forward to being able to see the details of your work.

Fred and I did this job in 1984. I had these pictures in my computer, so I used them. I will look for the origional pictures and scan to see if I can enlarge them.

I have a lot more pictures, but not enough room. I did find more pictures of other projects, I wil show them off to.

It is a pleasure to see the work of someone with mad skills. When I get a chance I will show you my Grandfathers hand tools. He was a craftsman like you.

Thank you, I would love to see his tools. The work I do is with modern tools. Its was real craftsman who used the old hand tools.
