The American Plains Indian bead work item is in outstanding condition and once belonged to Lessie Adams Of Anadarko, Oklahoma and was made around 1900. I have had several collectors of Indian object look at this item and they classified it as rare and they were unsure of its purpose, because of its length at approximately 44 inches. This item once belonged to a Lessie Adams of Anadarko, and was stored in a trunk for many years until her passing in 1974 at 90 years of age. I obtained this item from her daughter in law some 30 years ago. If any one has any information regarding American Indian bead work belts pleas let me know if this is a belt or a Necklace I am not sure. Hardbrake

Lovely beadwork. My guess is because of the knotted part above the tassels, that this could have been worn as a long necklace.
