This is what I would call a handkerchief but not sure. It is written in English and French. The little cartoons each have captions and at the bottom center it tells how to mix a bloody mary eye opener.

It was gotten by a family member either during or shortly after WWII. If you hold it up you can see through it. I'm not sure if it is thin from age or use. No signature or markings to indicate where it came from or who made it. I tend to think it might have been sold as a novelty or some such thing.

What I am interested in is knowing if it has a different name and if anyone might be able to point me toward a web site or collector's group where I can research it a bit?

Tea towel? Bar towel? Novelty kitchen linen?

      Thanks for the loves mrmajestic1.

Stef, it is about the size of a handkerchief. To thin for a towel so I guess it might be a kitchen linen. It says "His" on the top so maybe there was a "Hers" also. The little skits on it seem to revolve around being married and several are at meal time, maybe it was to use as a napkin?

      Look what I found:

      https://www.etsy.com/pt/listing/184149348/on-sale-20-off-vtg-kreier-bonjour-pour?ref=market

      It's vintage, made by Kreier.

I would call it a napkin or "serviette" LOL

Thanks mcheconi, you hit the nail on the head. Not sure why I end up with this stuff but now I know what it is. Next step is to direct it to a family member as I am passing things along. Time for someone else to take over. I hat to pass something along and say, I have no idea what it is.

Searching a little more and Kreier appears to be a swiss company.
