I believer this is Chinese. The marking on the bottom is raised and underneath the gloss I can tell it is short and in chinese. How do I find the year and value on this?

Hi Granny
The bowl you have is a footed bowl which is typical of those items produced in the late Qing (Ching) Dynasty. The heavy raised enamel surfaces are referred to as clobbering, a technique where heavy layers of enamel paint are placed on on top of the other or in heavy blobs which when fired, settle and give you that raised effect. This again is typical of wares from the 1800's.
If you take a look at the base, you can see irregular bubbles in the glaze which is caused due to inconsistent temperatures in the kiln. The amount of the colour white on the upper surface is typical of Chinese wares produced for the Japanese market in the Kaikemon style. In this style, the more white that appears on the item, the better and more valuable it is. I would date this piece from between 1850 to 1890

i would date 1890-1910, looks a silly piece ,actually it aint actually this pieces are quite rare, most of the time they appear in the fake tongzi type ( pious eyes)
