Found this one at the Salvo's two weeks ago. It's by an Italian firm called Mepra. It was designed by a young Italian called Giulio Iacchetti who was born in 1966 and is a graduate in architecture from Milan’s Polytechnic. Iacchetti started his own design studio in 1992. His design for a disposable fork ‘Moscardino,’ created in 2001 with Matteo Ragni, won the Compasso d’Oro award and is part of the permanent design exhibition at the Modern Museum of Art in New York. Iacchetti’s designs are witty, often placing his ideas within an unexpected context. His numerous clients include the Italian supermarket COOP, De Vecchi, Mandarina Duck, Pandora Design, and Sambonet. Iacchetti is a visiting faculty member for several universities and design schools, both in Italy and abroad.

I bought it as a usable alternative to the similar Alessi product designed by Ettore Sottsass.

This Mepra design is called COROLLA No 410. Completo oliera con spargisale and is part of his Tavola collection for Mepra.

Really fantastic. It remember some designs Dr. Christopher Dresser.

Many thanks Agustin! The handle and the basic form are certainly Dresser. Iacchetti has provided a clever piece of metal origami with this base. The name 'corolla' suggests a cluster of petals that bend here to form the support for the bottles. The holes also suggest Meccano, too, I think!
