Get your magnifying glass out and check every inch inside and out for any markings/numbers, etc on the glass or the brass, including the fitting for light bulb and the switch to turn it on. What size bulb does it take? My good eye gives me butterflies in my stomach when I see your gorgeous lamp. So detailed, right down to the brass fruit on the sides. My initial thought was German or Spanish. I also thought the fruit was a cherry. Your thoughts?
    8. serafin, 13 years ago
I already check all the lamp inch by inch for marks and did not find anything except two numbers 3 one in each half of the cast, that I think are for when you close the globe they have to match to be able to put the screws in the right place. I need to check the socket to see who made it ?.Thankyou.

I said Spanish before but meant Italian. Do you think the fruits are cherries?
    10. serafin, 13 years ago
I think they're grapes, because the bronze exterior detail of the lamp appears to be a bunch of grapes.

Beautiful Art Nouveau lamp!!! The glass looks like opal. I thik it might it might be American. My first impression is that it may be from Frank Lloyd Wright but I´m not so sure.

Thanks for your comments,I wish it was from Frank Lloyd, here is another picture from the glass and the socket.

Any updates on this lamp? I have the exact same fixture, and haven't been able to find anything either!
    19. serafin, 11 years ago
Hello ontariojer, have you check for any foundry marks or any mark on your fixture, because i can not find any on my lamp.
    20. ontariojer, 11 years ago
Like yours, there are no marks that are of any use. Mine is from the 1920's or before, in a large house in the most expensive area of a industrial city in Southern Ontario. The house was owned by a family who owned a large electrical company, and so there were MANY interesting lights, as well as several different interesting electric fireplaces. I would really love to know the value, history or even what to call this style of 'cast glass through cast metal' manufacturing? I'm glad I'm not the only one out there! I did have someone look at it once and said $3-5K, but I don't know if that was a real estimate, or just a total guess...

Thanks for the info, I'll keep trying to find out who made it. I think the price would be much higher if we knew who made them,I don't want to sell my lamp, but I would like to know who made it.

Hello ontariojer, I would like to know if you still have your lamp equal to mine, and if you have known anything about it, thanks
