Hi. I just purchased these at an estate sale today because I thought they were really neat. I took them to a lamp store to get new electrical cords because I thought they needed them. The people in the lamp store said these are very valuable and in excellent condition, and that only one needed to have the cord replaced (I purchased three - one big one and two smaller lamps). Does anyone know what the name, company, or time period of these lamps are? Do they actually have any significant value? Thanks!
These are really neat looking. They are also the only lamps that come even close to looking like the one I posted on here. I unfortunately do not know anything about lamps. Good luck to you!
They look to be Chinese to me. In fact, I bought a sweet little lamp like that about 28 years ago in Japan when I was living there. I sent it to my friend in the mail back to the USA. It arrived in 100's of pieces! Crazy, because I sent back so many gifts, including China, and that was the only thing that didn't make it. We had a gift shop on the military base that imported things from near-by countries, and I am pretty sure the lamp came from Hong Kong, China. The wooden pedestals are also very tell-tale, as almost all pottery, cloisonne, and cinnabar from China came with a wooden pedestal. The shapes are also very Chinese.
I HAVE A SET OF THOSE LAMPS SO GLAID TO KNOW A LITTLA SOMETHING ABOUT THEM THANKS
