      Could you include other angles?

It's basically 2x3 box with red glass in the back that I'm guessing is to view the number of the film and a viewer on top

I think this may be your camera, not sure, but it is a great piece

Thanks guys. This really helps! The shutter is the only thing that gets me.

Do I read those patent dates right, 1856, 1860(?), I have to be reading that wrong!
    7. sbwayne88, 13 years ago
Yeah you're reading them wrong lol. 1885 to 1886. And I got the shutter almost working. It did needed to be adjusted and just needs to be cleaned up a bit now. Again thank you all for the help! Really appreciate it

This is a "Pocket Kodak" (as opposed to an original Kodak). It was offered from 1895 to 1900; and during this run, approximately 147,000 were made. It shot 1-1/2 x 2 inch images on No. 102 roll film.

The round viewfinder and Tisdell sector shutter indicates this is an 1895 model; whereas in 1896 the viewfinder was changed to a square shape and a rotary shutter used. Patent dates appearing inside refer to specific parts used to make the camera as opposed to the camera's date.

From mid-1895 to about June 1896, the camera was offered in red or black leather. It appears you have a red leather version, which is a bit more desirable. Fine condition examples with very nice, clean red leather bodies typically sell in the $175 - $225 range. Unfortunately your camera shows excessive wear, therefore the value drops significantly.
