I love all my cameras, but if I had favourites in my collection, it is fair to say they would probably be the Sanderson range. The culminatory models of the Sanderson Hand & Stand cameras, were the extremely sophisticated "Tropical" cameras produced through to the mid-nineteen-thirties, when production ceased. Super expensive instruments, made of nothing but the best available materials, the bodies were of polished teak, with jointed and brass dowelled corners and very solid lacquered brass fittings. A wide choice of lens and shutter combinations was available. There was a multiplicity of camera movements; a flap on top allowed for extreme rising front, and the baseboard could be hinged down for extreme fall, or for use with wide angle lenses.
Anything that at that time could be done photographically, could be done on a Sanderson Tropical.
Thanks all for the loves!
