    This is the best! Because of this photo I know know the reasons behind the black wedding dress . It wasn't until 1860 that women started to wear white.

      I wonder why in the older photo's the men are always seated with the woman standing at his side and a bit behind?

      I could probably look it up, but you've piqued my interest here (and no doubt others who view this post - but maybe not seeing as how it's been three years!)... what was the reason behind the black wedding dress and why did it change to white in 1860?
