I picked up this very unusual and very nice 8" high pottery vase having a flared lip with white rim and a dark terra cotta red interior glaze. The outside of the vase has a thick, heavy black engobe over a yellow glaze background. In excellent condition and marked KIRALY.
If anyone has any information regarding the company and the age of this vase I would really appreciate it. I've only seen one other item marked KIRALY on eBay and it is a decanter with 6 cups. Thank you in advance for your time.
This is Hungarian, I think. I was doing some research on an Hungarian piece of have and saw the name and similar 'lava' pieces six months ago. There should be an accent over the A: KIRÁLY. the hungarian for Kerámia and KIRÁLY will give you some other pictures by this maker.
Check out this Swedish language site for a nice black and white vase:

Thank you so much. This information is very helpful and you certainly solved the mystery for me.
