Another one of last weekend's garage sale purchases, pictures 1 & 2 are of a Canadian 7 ounce brown ribbed Orange Crush bottle. The third image is from a local bottling company, Dauphin Beverages, Dauphin, Manitoba.
I had never seen either one of these before so had to buy them.

I have never seen an orange Crush bottle like that -- it looks ancient!
mid 1940's -mid 1970's
The little guy on the back label is named "Crushy" and he always faces to the left!
Thanks trunkman, the rusty bottle cap really adds to the ancient look. Near as I can tell they were in use from mid 40's to mid 70's.

Look at that I got side tracked with my response & packrat graciously provided some info.
I think it dates prior to mid 50's as they went bi-lingual after that, I could be wrong I'm no expert on this.
May by this will help, I should have said I was refering to the amber bottle.

This is the era of the 'Krinkly' bottle or the 'Ribbed' bottle, originally clear in color. This bottle came in different designs, contents, cities etc., and was the original Orange Crush bottle with which we first became familiar. These clear bottles were fully embossed, with front and back diamond patterns."
" mid-1940's - mid-1970's The 'Krinkly' AMBER era:
This is the period during which the 'Amber' or 'Brown' krinkly or ribbed bottle was introduced. It is this distinctive dark brown colored bottle with which most collectors - and non-collectors, are familiar.
* This 'krinkly' bottle was also produced, in the same period, to a lesser degree in emerald green color, with a similar purpose of protecting the contents from environmental deterioration. This bottle, in one style only, is much less common, more valuable, and fully embossed, with different wording in the diamonds, front and back."

During this period, came the introduction of the "Mae West" bottle, which is also referred to as the "Diamond" or "Draped" pattern in the Orange Crush market. This bottle, in clear, brown (amber) and the rare green, had many variations - content, color of ACL, neck ACLs, which go on and on."

No problem, those are great bottles, you do not see them a whole lot.
This is the bottle that keeps escaping me.. found 5 of them at on property all broke.. kept 2 anyway..lol..Never given up tho.. Thanks for putting pic up that keeps my hopes up.
Thanks for the comment, digemuphamm, don't give up one will come your way I'm sure. I wasn't looking for one, but it pays to take up going to garage sales. I would send it your way, but I've found out that this style of bottle is the reason for my existence you might say.
When I showed it to my mother the other day to see if she remembered them, she said Orange Crush was her favourite soft drink. Nearly seventy years ago she was having trouble opening one of these & a young man offered to help. They married a couple of years later & had 65 wonderful years together.

Finally dug one of these up a lil while back the color isnt great as yours but still not bad to have been under dirt for that long. Just had to let you know. Thats an awesome story you shared about your Parents Very sweet!!
