Handmade in 1925, here is a 5 drawer wooden box. This box was made by my neighbor's father-in-law, when her husband was 4 years old. Her husband was born in 1921, making this box 87 years old.
Not really sure what category this would fit into, or what the box was exactly used for.
Measures 16 3/4" in height, 6 3/4" in width, 5 1/2" depth.
Pretty neat box, and we thought it was unique!
My wife thinks it was used for sewing notions.
I'd be inclined to agree with your wife. A lot of cabinets like these were made for that. Whatever it was made as, it's a great little piece and would come in handy for storing all kinds of small collectibles. I'm a box/drawer freak and love all kinds of them!
