This is a Cam-O made by the United States Cam-O Corporation. It is a twin lens reflex 'school camera' that shoots 250 exposures on 70mm film. Dating has always been difficult but I suspect it was made anywhere from the late 1940s to 1960s; but I've never seen any advertisements to pin down a date. Value is approximately $80(ish) depending on overall condition and if it is fully operational, etc. The camera is not rare or historically important, but some collectors like its odd style.
I have one & believe it was an ID or beach photo type of camera. Likely for schools where the class got a print of the class roll of students. I still have prints from a roll from mid & late 1940s.
I have the complete outfit. These were also used for military I.D.s as i have a placard that would be posted in a train staion or depot for departing troops. I have the original case, or trunk, as it is huge. also included a film changing bag and cover. still works and its a neat piece. I bought it at an estate sale many years ago and i think mine is from the forties.
